When my partner Faith and I decided to book a vacation this past summer, we decided to include our love of motorcycles. We shopped around the internet and found all kinds of offers, and out of the lot we picked Hispania-Tours. We liked what we read, and the idea of a small group appealed to us. The decision was made and we even decided to bring Faith's daughter Allison along too! When we arrived in Malaga we were met by the beautiful Eva, who did everything she could to help out with our "lost luggage" situation. (Unfortunately, we STILL do not have Allison's suitcase or clothes!) After the long airplane trip from Seattle to Malaga, the beautiful La Hurredura was an enjoyable site. After a nice rest overnight we were ready to start on our adventure! We found out that the others scheduled to make the trip with us had something come up and had canceled, so it was just Johannes, Faith, and Allison and me on bikes. Wow! A private guided tour! Could it get any better than this? Let me tell you, Johannes knows the roads of Spain like the back of his hand! The routes he took us on, the hotels he selected for us to spend the night, the wines he selected for dinner and the food! It was all just FANTASTIC! I must say that I was a bit concerned with all the twistys and my riding ability, especially on a strange bike with Allison on behind me. Johannes is obviously skilled at knowing the capabilities of his riders and never once let us get beyond our abilities. The BMW's were flawless machines in perfect condition. If you have never ridden one, please go do it! The are fantastic machines and extremely easy to become familiar with. We liked them so much, we have already purchased our first, to go with our two cruisers! Oh my, I lost track of where I was... The routes Johannes selected for our journey were absolutely perfect! The white villages that we passed through and saw in the distance were like something from a move, book or post card. It was amazing to think that we were actually seeing this first hand, as it was so absolutely gorgeous! The roads were perfectly banked in the turns and the smoothest I've ridden on. There was very little traffic, and those that did come along Johannes kept away from us perfectly! The hotels that Johannes selected were extremely nice and very comfortable. We found it interesting that all the rooms had twin beds. Something you don't see at all in the U.S. We also came away from Spain with a new appreciation of Spanish wines. Johannes selected some of the most wonderful wines we have ever tasted. And the tapas, the cheeses and olives, the Iberian ham, and the list goes on and on! Delicious! Johannes saved the best for last, though. He took us for piaha for our last dinner, back in La Hurredura. Let me tell you, it was the most fantastic meal I've ever had! If you are reading this, trying to decide if this is the right trip for you, don't delay another second! Johannes, Karin, & Eva are Fantanstic hosts! You can not go wrong! Book your trip! We did and loved it! ...and we WILL go back again for another trip soon. I'm thinking that Morocco trip is sounding pretty good... Terry Whitford, Edmonds, WA. USA
